My name is David Spring. I have a Bachelors Degree in Science Education from Washington State University and a Masters Degree in Child Development from the University of Washington. I also have an extensive background in Computer and Internet Data Security. I built my first computer from a kit back in 1980. Thirty years ago, in 1994, I started one of the world’s first online stores. I also helped start two other major computer and Internet corporations – Microsoft.com and Amazon.com.

I have also been warning about the lack of security of our election system for more than 20 years. So this is not a new topic for me.
But this website is not merely based on my opinions on the dangers of centralized government controlled databases – something I cover in detail in the above two books on computer security. This website is based on reports from more than two dozen of the world’s leading computer security experts – all of whom have been warning against the Real ID scam for more than 20 years.
I do have one major advantage over most computer security experts. I spent more than 30 years teaching courses at various colleges in Washington state helping the public and small business owners better understand how to use their computers and how to protect their computer data and how to protect their online websites. While most computer experts use technical terminology that the general public can not comprehend, I have spent years translating these complex topics into more common language that my students can understand.
It is important to know that we live in a Hacker Heaven. Hackers cost businesses and tax payers hundreds of billions of dollars every year. It is easy to hack into and alter the results of most computers – whether they are online or offline. But it is easier to hack into computers connected to the internet than those that are not. This is why Internet voting is against federal law and why I am so appalled that it is being allowed here in Washington state despite being prohibited by federal law.
Sadly, our elected officials know next to nothing about computer security. Even worse, they have repeatedly ignored the warnings from those of us who do know about computer security. It is possible to have secure elections without disenfranchising legal American citizens. But it is going to take a change of attitude on the part of our elected leaders if that is ever going to happen. It is also going to take more research on the part of voters to support leaders who actually care about election integrity – and stop supporting leaders who carelessly advocate for “magic bullet” Deep State solutions that make election integrity worse rather than better.
